MoFED/EU Case Study
The Ministry of Finance, with funding from the European Union, sought to create an application for monitoring and financial control of EU funded programmes in Uganda.
Digital Solutions was selected to build the application. The actual implementation began after a period in which user needs were studied in detail. Given the need for secure access over a wide area network, a Web-based architecture was preferred.
The Aid Coordination and Monitoring system as it is known is currently deployed. Digital Solutions continues to provide support services for it.
ACOM is a heirarchical system, capturing the relationship between donors, funding sources, funding agreements/allocations, projects down to contracts and payments. Different system users have access to different levels of functionality.
